Certifying as a B Corporation goes beyond product or service-level certification. B Corp Certification is the only certification that measures a company's entire social and environmental performance. The B Impact Assessment evaluates how your company's operations and business model impact your workers, community, environment, and customers. From your supply chain and input materials to your charitable giving and employee benefits, B Corp Certification proves your business is meeting the highest standards of verified performance. Positive impact is supported by transparency and accountability requirements. B Corp Certification doesn't just prove where your company excels now—it commits you to consider stakeholder impact for the long term by building it into your company's legal structure.
Phi has had an ambition to be a certified B Corp since 2018, we formally started our journey in the summer of 2021 and are delighted to have been fully certified in Feb 2022. Our Values are a representation of the company we want to be, and we believe that the B Corp Declaration of Interdependence is aligned with own purpose and redefines what success in business should look like:
- To become a B Corp Phi has passed a rigorous assessment, which did not just evaluate our products or services; it assessed the whole of our business.
- We met high standards of social and environmental performance. It's hard to become a B Corp. There are only 430 certified B Corps in the UK.
- Phi has committed to changing our Articles of Association to treat all stakeholders equally and embedding a triple bottom line approach.
- Phi's B Impact Score is 84.5 and our B Impact Assessment is publicly available on the B Corp website.
